Description
Bauerfeind GenuTrain is a specialty knee brace designed to reduce irritation from such knee conditions as tendomyopathy, ligament-insertion degeneration, osteoarthritis, arthritis, post-traumatic and post-operative stress. It is also ideal to relieve feelings of instability in the knee. The GenuTrain features new knitting concept, including stretchy, breathable and moisture dissipating for excellent wearing comfort, especially in the area behind the knee. The GenuTrain is anatomically knitted for a non-slip fit, and its compression reduced edges divert pressure at the ends of the support. Mode of action:
- The insert redistributes compression away from the patella to the surrounding soft tissues.
- Knee joint movement massages the parapatellar soft tissue structures through the formed ring insert.
- The compression and massage effects accelerate the reabsorption of edema and effusions.
- Stimulation of the proprioceptors by the support has a positive effect on the sensorimotor system and thus on muscle control.
Sizing Take measurements at 12 centimetres below the knee and 14 centimetres above the knee. Bend knee at a 30° angle. Steffi Jones, Soccer Player, Olympic and World Champion says: “My teammates and I wear GenuTrain after an injury and for injury prevention and are very content. I like the design, and the comfort is excellent. I am the type of person that must be convinced of the effectiveness of the products I represent. GenuTrain has convinced me. The Research Agrees: Focusing on the knee joint a recent study looked at the coordinative abilities of patients whose osteoarthritis was interfering with their control of movements. This means that these patients were suffering from reduced stability of the knee; good stability is essential if they are to walk or run without discomfort. Results: GenuTrain allowed the coordinative ability for moving the leg to be improved by 24 percent. GenuTrain ensured movement of the knee without discomfort.
